Apple may have accidentally just previewed its new iPads

As of Wednesday afternoon, an official iPad user guide for iOS 8 was available in the iTunes store. The guide included screenshots of the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.
Both of the new iPads are expected to be unveiled at an Apple event Thursday, leading many to wonder if the release of the iOS 8 guide was accidental. The photos in the iOS 8 guide show that the new iPads feature Touch ID but are otherwise quite similar to previous iPad Air and iPad Mini models, at least in appearance.
9to5 Mac, which first discovered the guide, has screenshots from the iTunes store, in case the release is taken down. But as of 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, the guide was still live on the iTunes store.
