FBI: Chinese hackers are like a 'drunk burglar'

FBI Director James Comey says China is launching daily cyber attacks on U.S. companies, though Beijing is terrible at covering its tracks.

China targets the U.S. "many, many, many" times a day, he said in an interview with 60 Minutes that aired Sunday. But despite the determined frequency of the attacks, they haven't been too effective because they're so easy to spot, he added.

"I liken them a bit to a drunk burglar," he said. "They're kicking in the front door, knocking over the vase, while they're walking out with your television set. They're just prolific. Their strategy seems to be: We'll just be everywhere all the time. And there's no way they can stop us."
