Two Canadian newspapers are under fire for running a caption that described a black NHL player as the "dark guy in the middle."
The Vancouver Sun and The Province both ran the same photo of the Canucks' Jordan Subban, who is black, surrounded by teammates during a preseason game Tuesday. The caption read, in part: "Vancouver Canucks celebrate goal by Jordan Subban (dark guy in the middle) against San Jose Sharks."
