The majority of St. Louis County residents — 73 percent of those surveyed — think the media was responsible for making the situation surrounding the police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri worse. Only 18 percent said the media made the situation better.
The poll by the Kansas City-based Remington Research Group also broke down the responses by race, and found that 81 percent of whites thought the press made the situation worse, while 50 percent of African-Americans agreed, Politico reports.
