Girl meets President Obama and is sad he's not Beyoncé

When the president and first lady made a surprise stop at a Washington, D.C., charter school for a photo op on Thursday, students were told they would be having an exciting visitor. One girl, a sixth grader named Madison (pictured below), expressed her disappointment on meeting the Obamas, however, because she had hoped the visitor would be Beyoncé.

Obama said his daughters would feel the same way, and Michelle Obama agreed that she would also prefer Beyoncé to Barack. As the president's approval ratings continue to plummet and Queen Bey reigns in the pop music world, it seems Madison is simply on trend — perhaps we'd all rather have Beyoncé. --Bonnie Kristian
