Police: Man hid narcotics in stuffed animal wearing anti-drug shirt


Officer McGruff would not approve: A New York man was arrested after state police found him with a drug-filled stuffed animal wearing a D.A.R.E. shirt.
Gregory Bolongnese, 22, was arrested after troopers discovered that the ironically-clad lion had two grams of marijuana, a half-gram of cocaine, and LSD hidden inside, The Associated Press reports. Bolongnese has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
D.A.R.E., or Drug Abuse Resistance Education, is a nationwide program that aims to teach kids to do anything but stuff a plush toy with narcotics.
