Bill Murray just came up with the perfect cast for an all-female Ghostbusters reboot
Bill Murray has repeatedly denied any interest in reviving the role of Peter Venkman in a Ghostbusters reboot, but that doesn't mean he's totally disinterested in the franchise. According to the Toronto Star, Murray recently threw out a list of the actresses he'd like to see in an all-female Ghostbusters movie — and it's hard to argue with any of his top choices.
"Melissa [McCarthy] would be a spectacular Ghostbuster," said Murray. "And Kristen Wiig is so funny — God, she's funny! I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there."
For someone who claims not to be interested in the Ghostbusters franchise, that's a pretty solid pitch. Of course, the long-rumored Ghostbusters reboot isn't actually happening yet — but if the cast did turn out to be that strong, even McCarthy admits she'd be interested.

"Oh, my God, that's daunting," said McCarthy. "That's taking on a legend, a legendary movie. But I would do anything with those ladies, anything at all."
