For those who have everything: The Swash
A hip new machine for 10-minute laundering — and more in our collection of bizarrely elite consumer products
"You can now do your laundry the same way that you make your coffee," said Dominic Basulto at The Washington Post. The Swash ($500) needs only 10 minutes and a small detergent pod to kill wrinkles and remove odors from a suit, sweater, or other garment. Meant to reduce the need for laundering and dry cleaning, the 4-foot-tall machine is sleek enough to be displayed in a bedroom, an office — even a man cave. If collaborators Whirlpool and Procter & Gamble market this right, "men will want to do laundry."
