For some reason — the start of the school year? — comedian John Oliver and perpetually famished Muppet Cookie Monster decided to team up to co-anchor a newscast for a fictional TV news program called W-ORD Channel 7 News. It's delightfully absurd and focuses on the subject you'd expect Oliver and Cookie Monster to have in common, like words, vocabulary, and cookies. There are a handful of celebrity cameos, and quite a bit of discussion about Oliver's tie.

The tie jokes are geared more toward adult viewers, but the entire video is appropriate for all ages. And everyone will literally find something to laugh at, too. Except maybe Al Roker. --Peter Weber
