Hundreds turned out for a peaceful protest in Ferguson today, marking three weeks since unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer.
Friends, family, and community members marched down Canfield Drive, stopping at the makeshift memorial which marks the spot where Brown was killed. They continued on toward the Ferguson police station, although authorities' presence was reportedly limited — a sharp contrast to the much-debated militarized police response in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
