Happy Birthday, Bao Bao! National Zoo panda celebrates one year
It's Bao Bao the giant panda cub's first birthday, and the Smithsonian National Zoo put together a great video highlighting the snuggly panda's first year (check it out, below).
Some fun facts about Bao Bao: One of her favorite foods is sweet potato. And, she's about to start getting weaned from her mother, Mei Xiang, which seems kind of sad but really means she's learning independence, so that she'll be ready to travel to China in three more years. Oh, and to all you night owls out there? You're in good company: Apparently Bao Bao is notorious for taking afternoon snoozes, then staying up late.
