The bodies of 20 Malaysians who were killed in the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 returned home on Friday.
Malaysia declared Friday a national day of mourning, and citizens wore black to observe the late passengers' return.
All 298 of the flight's passengers died, including 43 Malaysians as well as 195 Dutch nationals. The 20 bodies and ashes were presented in a ceremony Friday at Kuala Lumpur National Airport. The coffins were covered with the Malaysian flag and carried by soldiers. Below are some of the most striking images of Malaysia's mourning for those lost. --Meghan DeMaria
