White House confirms video of James Foley's execution is authentic

A video that shows ISIS beheading American journalist James Foley is authentic, the Obama administration confirmed Wednesday. The video, which shows Foley kneeling alongside an executioner and addressing the camera before being beheaded, was uploaded to YouTube Tuesday afternoon.
Foley's family confirmed the journalist's death in a statement Tuesday night.
Foley was kidnapped in Syria in 2012.
