Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) is giving every indication that he'll run for president again, and during an appearance at the Iowa State Fair on Tuesday he seemed more confident than ever.
Perry was on a four-day jaunt through Iowa, shaking hands and schmoozing with voters to remind them about his prospective candidacy. Perry said Iowans will "see a lot of him" in the coming months, according to the Des Moines Register. Then this happened:
Perry seemed pumped up after his enthusiastic, heckle-free reception at the Register's Soapbox. When the Register's moderator thanked him as he came off the stage, Perry said: "You're welcome. I'm awesome!" [Des Moines Register]
May as well start printing the lawn signs and bumper stickers now. "Rick Perry 2016: You're welcome. I'm Awesome."
