Police shoot, critically wound second man as Ferguson protests continue
With protests percolating across Ferguson, Missouri, in the wake of the shooting death of an unarmed black man, St. Louis County police shot and critically wounded another person early Wednesday morning.
Police responded to a call around 1 a.m. about a handful of armed men in ski masks, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The officers also received reports of shots being fired in the area, and arrived to see men running. When one officer chased a suspected shooter, the man pulled a gun on him, prompting the officer to shoot the man, police said.
Police have not said whether they believe the group of alleged gunmen were participating in the protests of if the incident was completely unrelated.
