U.S. will give South Sudan $180 million in emergency aid

The United States will provide South Sudan with $180 million in emergency aid to help the country as it struggles with an ongoing food crisis.
White House National Security Adviser Susan Rice told the Associated Press that South Sudan is currently experiencing the most devastating food shortage in the world. According to the White House, the U.S. has given more than $456 million in aid to South Sudan.
The aid funds will come from USAID and the Department of Agriculture.
