Ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner hoping to start new restaurant in storm-ravaged Rockaways

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose congressional career and campaign for mayor of New York City were derailed by sexting scandals, is now planning on opening a new business, the New York Daily News reports. That business will be called Rockaway Restoration Kitchen, a restaurant and catering service that will provide job training in the Rockaways, an outer region of Queens that continues to struggle with the after-effects of Hurricane Sandy.
"Large swaths of the peninsula are lacking in quality, sustainable, nutritious food. It's is also sadly true that many Rockaway residents need help developing skills to lift them out of unemployment," Weiner told the paper. "This project is at the very earliest stages of trying to tackle these challenges."
