An ardent Brazil supporter who calls himself Gaucho da Copa — "The Cup Cowboy" — quickly became an internet sensation after Germany absolutely pummeled Brazil 7-1 Tuesday.
This image of him tearfully clutching his replica of the World Cup trophy became the internet's representation of Brazil fans' sadness:
But as Reddit's World Cup thread, r/WorldCup, points out, there's a happier ending to the fan's story. He handed his trophy replica to a Germany fan:
