Aside from her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens on Grey's Anatomy, Katherine Heigl is best known for her performances in a number of romantic comedies, such as 27 Dresses and Knocked Up. Now, the star admits that taking those roles may have pigeonholed her acting career.

In a cover story for the August issue of Marie Claire UK, the actress opens up about her struggles in Hollywood and life after Grey's.

"I love romantic comedies. I was so stoked to be doing them. But maybe I hit it a little too hard," Heigl told the magazine. "There's nothing wrong with them, but maybe I overloaded my audience. I should have done a superhero movie or a psychological thriller."
