'Kissing congressman' Vance McAllister to run for re-election

Louisiana Rep. Vance McAllister, the Republican lawmaker who was caught on camera smooching someone other than his wife, announced Monday that he will seek re-election this fall.
"Our family is stronger than ever, so I think the people should decide whether or not I continue to represent them," McAllister told The News Star.
The freshman politician and Duck Dynasty pal previously indicated he would not seek re-election after video surfaced of him kissing a staffer. Though many prominent Louisiana Republicans called on him to resign when the story broke, McAllister rebuffed their pleas, saying, "The last time I checked they don't live in the district."
