Tyra Banks wanted to be a sketch comedian, and other surprising comedy facts


Sure, you might know that children's movies like The Lion King and Frozen are some of the highest-grossing movies of all time. But did you know that Tyra Banks got her start in the legendary comedy group The Groundlings?
John Green rounded up 39 little-known facts about comedy for our friends at Mental Floss, and the Tyra tidbit is just one of many gems. Among the others: Ed Helms was actually missing a tooth in the first Hangover movie, and John Wayne was offered — and rejected — a role in Blazing Saddles.
