The first Dumb and Dumber To trailer lives up to its title

After 20 years (and one poorly-conceived prequel), the duo at the heart of Dumb and Dumber are set for a big return to the big screen. Dumb and Dumber To — a title that has haunted hundreds of copyeditors across the globe — picks up long after 1994's Dumb and Dumber, as the middle-aged Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey) prepare to go on another odyssey of idiocy. This time, the target is Harry's estranged daughter, on whom Lloyd nurses a crush.

Will Dumb and Dumber To merit a trip to your local movie theater? That probably depends on your level of nostalgia for the original Dumb and Dumber, and your tolerance for gross-out gags about yanking out a catheter tube or erotically stimulating an elderly woman. Dumb and Dumber To hits theaters in November — just in time for Oscar consideration. --Scott Meslow
