Read David Brat's student reviews on Rate My Professors
David Brat, a professor of economics at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, shocked the political world on Tuesday night by defeating House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a Republican primary. We are still getting to know Brat, so who better to consult than those who have met him in a professional setting?
According to the website Rate My Professors, Brat brings a "common sense approach" to the classroom that makes economics "interesting and applicable to real life." Hey, not bad! He is also described as being "very talented, humorous, and helpful" by one student, and simply "SOLID" by another. "Plus he's total eye candy!" gushes one undergraduate. No wonder this guy trounced Cantor, who clearly failed to do his research.
However, in one negative review, Brat is criticized for changing "the assignments almost everyday." Does this mean Brat is a flip-flopper?

In a weird twist of fate, Brat's Democratic opponent in the race is Jack Trammell, who also teaches at Randolph-Macon. And it looks like Trammell beats Brat in the cool professor department, notching an impressive score of 4.2 out of 5 in overall quality. "BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!" goes one comment. Looks like Brat will have his work cut out for him.
