Paris' iconic "love locks" bridge was evacuated over the weekend after a portion of its railing collapsed under the weight of a thousand padlocks hooked to it. Police told France 24 that the Pont des Arts bridge was closed off Sunday evening so it wouldn't endanger the thousands of tourists who cross it everyday. No one was injured.

For years, couples have hooked padlocks bearing their initials onto the bridge as a sign of their undying love. The bridge, located near the Louvre Museum, is slated to be reopened Monday. --Jordan Valinsky
