John McCain: Prisoners swapped for Bergdahl 'are responsible for 9/11'

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) on Sunday doubled down on his criticism of the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner swap, claiming the five Taliban detainees included in the deal were too dangerous to release because they would assuredly "reenter the fight."
The now-freed prisoners, he said, were "hard-core jihadists who were responsible for 9/11."
"Of course, nobody wants to release people who were responsible for 9/11," he added. --Jon Terbush
