J.J. Abrams teases Star Wars fans with Millennium Falcon picture
J.J. Abrams is notorious for the secrecy of his projects, but his upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII has already been plagued by several on-set photo leaks revealing buildings, spaceships, and alien creatures. The most recent appeared to confirm the return of Han Solo's ship, the Millennium Falcon — and Abrams has taken to Twitter to playfully respond:
For anyone who didn't grow up watching the original trilogy on a permanent loop: the table behind that note is used for Dejarik, which is basically the Star Wars version of chess, with holographic monsters instead of pieces. It memorably appeared in the original Star Wars, when Chewbacca and R2-D2 played a contentious game in the lounge of the Millennium Falcon:
So yes, the Millennium Falcon looks primed for another flight in Episode VII — so maybe Chewbacca and R2-D2 can finally get that rematch in.
