Dallas-area bar fires manager over terrible domestic-violence joke

On Saturday night, Courtney Williams was at a bar called Scruffy Duffies in Plano, Texas — a city in the Dallas metroplex — when she noticed this sign:
Early Sunday, Williams posted that photo to Facebook. On Monday — a couple of hundred of Facebook "shares" and "likes" later — Scruffy Duffies posted an apology on Facebook, blaming "one of our female employees" for writing "something offensive without owner's approval." On Tuesday, the bar's owners said they'd fired the general manager because he "did not recognize and fix the problem." Williams is philosophical about the incident: "They happened to do this to the wrong girl who had the exact right network."
