Slash shredded the National Anthem before the Kings-Blackhawks game and it was supremely boring

Guns N' Roses' Slash got to play the national anthem before Saturday's Kings-Blackhawks playoff game, and he turned in a pretty lackluster performance. Aside from a few tiny flourishes, Slash's rendition sounded more or less like what you'd expect to hear, sandwiched between "Smoke on the Water" and "Stairway to Heaven," from any novice in any Guitar Center in America. Hendrix at Woodstock, this was not. --Jon Terbush
