Woman miraculously delivers baby boy while in a coma

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for the family of Melissa Carleton.
Months ago, doctors discovered a tumor in the pregnant 39-year-old's brain. The tumor sparked a seizure, leaving her in a coma. Carleton's husband, Brian Lande, said she can only barely move her hands and open her eyes. But yesterday, doctors at the University of California, San Francisco hospital miraculously delivered Carleton's healthy baby boy via c-section.
The birth brought Carleton to life in a way that her family said they haven't seen in months. "In a few tender moments, she reached out to Brian, took his cheek, pulled his cheek down to her face and held it there," her father said. "It was the first time she had hugged Brian since this trauma happened."
