E-tailer eBay is urging customers to change their passwords, as the company recently fell victim to a massive hacking attack. The auction site said that the attackers accessed a database containing encrypted passwords and "other non-financial data" in late February and early March, reports Recode.
"After conducting extensive tests on its networks, the company said it has no evidence of the compromise resulting in unauthorized activity for eBay users, and no evidence of any unauthorized access to financial or credit card information," the company said. It's now urging customers to change their passwords as a preventative measure to help "enhance security."
