The allure of One Direction is just too much for some teens to handle. At the boys' concert on Sunday in Peru, 47 fans were treated for shortness of breath and other symptoms relating to asphyxia because throngs of teens were crushing each other in an attempt to get closer to the stage.
The band was forced to stop playing once they noticed the fans crushing each other. "If you don't want anyone to take us off stage, make sure you stay back," warned singer Niall Horan to the stadium's 40,000 fans. Directioners still couldn't calm themselves down during the entire two-hour concert, but the boys managed to finish the show.
