A Virginia gun shop offers free AR-15 magazines on Election Day — and more in our collection of strange revelations about the nation

In an effort to get out the vote, a Virginia gun shop offered free 30-round AR-15 magazines on Election Day to anyone who showed a Virginia voter ID or active duty military ID. The giveaway was not considered electioneering because it was not specifically tied to proof of voting.
