The elephant-shooting reality show

NBC canceled an NRA-sponsored hunting show after it aired video of the host shooting an African elephant in the face and celebrating with a glass of champagne. When the episode of Under Wild Skies sparked protests, host Tony Makris said elephants were no different than birds and likened his critics to Hitler. NBC called Makris' comments "outrageous and unacceptable."
