Paul Baier, a research consultant living in Boston, is paying his 14-year-old daughter, Rachel, $200 to deactivate her Facebook account for five months. On his blog, Baier posted a photo of the signed agreement, which gives him control of the account and password. In exchange, Rachel will get $50 in April, and the remaining $150 in June when school is finished. On the contract line about what she plans to spend the $200 on, Rachel's response was predictably succinct: "Stuff."
