For those who have everything: The pen with something extra
A pen that records audio as you scribble — and more in our collection of bizarrely elite consumer products
"There is something a little magical" about the Livescribe Echo pen (from $100). For anyone who takes handwritten notes, it's "a pretty ideal tool" because it records audio while you write and allows you to access that audio at will. Any scribble you make on Livescribe's specially coded paper can be viewed later on a computer screen; "tap on a part of your notes and the exact point in the audio that matches up with it plays." The pen uses regular ink — "but that's about all in has in common with a ballpoint." Source: The Austin American-Statesman
