Suicide car bomb kills 12 in Iraq

Officials announced Monday that a suicide bombing in Iraq has left 12 Shiite fighters and soldiers dead.
A suicide bomber set off the car bomb in the town of Abasiyat, roughly 80 miles north of Baghdad, The Associated Press reports. The attack wounded 18 people.
AP notes that bombings and terrorist attacks are "near-daily" in Iraq and are often claimed by ISIS, though Monday's attack has not yet been claimed.
