Interpol adds ex-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to wanted list

Interpol on Monday issued a wanted notice for former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, alleging embezzlement and financial corruption that cost Kiev millions of dollars.

Yanukovych fled to Russia last year following months of protests over his desire to align Ukraine more closely with Moscow. While in office, he and his allies allegedly amassed fortunes by funneling government money into their own pockets and by striking crooked deals with business cronies, according to Interpol.
