New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's (R) honeymoon with voters is over, as a Fairleigh Dickinson poll released Tuesday finds his approval rating slumping to a lackluster 39 percent. The poll pegged Christie's disapproval rating at 47 percent.

The results further underscore Christie's rapid plummet from 2016 frontrunner to tainted punching bag. Two years ago, three-fourths of New Jersey's registered voters approved of Christie's job performance, while less than 20 percent disapproved.
