The FBI on Wednesday arrested an Ohio man who allegedly planned to bomb the U.S. Capitol.
The FBI said the man, Christopher Lee Cornell, was in the early stages of plotting an attack in which he planned to detonate pipe bombs around the building and then shoot anyone who ran out. He was arrested after purchasing a gun and 600 rounds of ammunition and making travel arrangements to Washington, D.C.
