Secretary of State John Kerry missed the Paris unity march, but after the Charlie Hebdo attacks and multiple hostage situations, he wants France to know they've got a friend in him.
Kerry recruited longtime friend James Taylor, who was in Paris promoting a European tour, to sing "You've Got a Friend," a song he popularized, to French officials.
Kerry said he came to France "to share a big hug with Paris."
