Following the massive ratings success of its live adaptation of The Sound of Music — and the moderate disappointment of its live adaptation of Peter Pan — NBC is planning to produce another live musical. Addressing a group of television critics, NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt confirmed that the network has already acquired the rights to two beloved classics: The Music Man and The Wiz.
NBC hasn't decided which musical to stage first — but either way, it will air in 2015.
