American Sniper scores record-setting $90 million debut

American Sniper, Clint Eastwood's blockbuster based on a real-life Navy SEAL, smashed box office records with a $90.2 million opening weekend. Released last year, Ride Along held the previous record for a January opening weekend at $41.5 million.

American Sniper has been nominated for six Oscars, including best picture and, for Bradley Cooper, best acting.
