In the Soweto area of Johannesburg, at least two people are dead and roughly 70 people have been arrested amid protests and looting.
The looting started on Monday, after a store owner was accused of shooting and killing a 14-year-old boy who was allegedly part of a group trying to rob his store. Witnesses say that since then, shops owned by Ethiopians, Somalis, and Pakistanis have been hit hard by looters, The Associated Press reports.
