Chris Christie has been given 77 diet books while in office

Chris Christie (R-N.J.) has received more than 1,100 gifts since he took public office five years ago. And while that might sound nice in theory, 77 of the 600 books Christie received were about dieting and weight loss.
The books include titles like The Macho Man Diet and Leave the Cannoli, Take the Weights, according to NJ.com. The 77 titles covered diet, weight loss, exercise, and bariatric surgery.
It's not just mean-spirited constituents, either: NJ.com reports that Dr. Oz sent Christie a copy of Dr. Joel Fuhrman's book Eat to Live. Christie, for his part, had bariatric surgery two years ago but has said his weight is a private matter.
