America's confidence in the economy hits highest point since recession

For the first time since the recession, America's confidence in the economy closed a month in positive territory, according to Gallup.
The polling firm's monthly index of economic confidence showed an eight-point spike in January to finish at +3. The scale, which averages Americans' views of current economic conditions and their perceptions of whether the economy is getting better or worse, runs from -100 to +100.
