Confession: I always did wonder what happened to Fluffy.
J.K. Rowling gave me and other Harry Potter fans the answer via Twitter on Friday — "He was repatriated to Greece," she tweeted. "Dumbledore liked to put Hagrid's more foolish acquisitions back where they belong - not the forest."
"The forest" is the Forbidden Forest, and if you are not a Harry Potter fan, move along, because these answers require a fairly thorough reading of the books. Rowling also got technical — and Caps-level heated — about a Horcrux detail:
