Kanye West has met his match in Shirley Manson, the lead singer of Garbage, who was not amused by West's antics at Sunday's Grammy Awards.
In a strongly worded Facebook post, Manson told West he had no right to tell Beck that he should give his Album of the Year award to Beyoncé. "It is you who is busy disrespecting artistry," she wrote. "You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work, and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like Beck." Adding that he made himself look "small and petty and spoilt," Manson told West that he "made a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own."
Manson made sure to also mention West's strange white-knighting of Beyoncé, writing: "I am pretty certain Beyoncé doesn't need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she's got everything covered perfectly well on her own." West has yet to respond.
