Ready for Batman's greatest villain to put another smile on your face? A new preview for Gotham, the Fox show following James Gordon's path from recruit to commissioner, hinted that next week's episode will include a long-awaited appearance from Batman's nemesis, The Joker:
Of course, it's possible that the preview is just a joke on the audience; whether the character is actually The Joker remains to be seen. Throughout the show's first season, the Joker has been teased several times. In a recent interview, Gotham creator Bruno Heller said the plan is to keep audiences guessing: "'Is that the Joker? Is that the Joker?' No. In a subtle way, we'll be doing that and hopefully we'll fool them in the end."
If the preview is another trick, Batman fans will still find plenty to dig into; the episode will also reportedly include The Flying Graysons, whose acrobatics form the basis of Robin's origin story.
