Comedy Central President Michele Ganeless confirmed on Tuesday that Jon Stewart is leaving The Daily Show at the end of the year.

Ganeless said that Stewart's comedic brilliance is "second to none," and over the past 16 years has turned The Daily Show into a "cultural touchstone for millions of fans and an unparalleled platform for political comedy that will endure for years to come." Read the entire statement at Politico.
