A sentimental Jon Stewart announced his departure from The Daily Show Tuesday night, thanking his viewers — even the hate watchers — and his staff for the "privilege and honor of my professional life." Saying that the show "doesn't deserve an even slightly restless host, and neither do you," Stewart shared that he's still working out the details of when his final episode will tape, and doesn't have any specific plans besides eating dinner on a school night with his family, "who I have heard from multiple sources are lovely people."
